Vote box

Recently 11/4/2014 we had a major election in the US. You couldn't tell from low voter turnout. But, that didn't stop every canidate from bombarding us with political ad's and mail. Even email wasn't safe from political mailing. Dispite the low turn out, people seem to want change. One way to do that when your not happy about what goes on in washington, is to vote. Make your voice heard by voting. I think part of the problem with low voting turn out, is the difficulty in doing so. For instance, I had to vote provitional ballet due to the fact that normaly I do mail in. I didn't recieve my mail in ballet so had to go into a precinct to do it. Something that took me half an hour to do sould have only taken 10 minates. All said and done though, hopefully there will be change in Washington DC comeing soon.

The Crossdressers holliday

Ahhhh as halloween aproaches, I think back to when I was a crossdresser. I have sense moved beyond just dressing in female cloths. However, When I think halloween, I don't think vampires and ghosts. Instead, I think of how many crossdressers, closeted or not, take that opertunity to dress as femme as they can. Some dress sexy and thers dress alot more fantasy. There are many events for the transgendered community on October 31st. It is the one day out of the year that CD's can come out of their shell without fear. It is because of that that Halloween IS the crossdressers holliday.

Shake up or shake out

There was an earthquake at 1016am on 10/16/2014. But, fortunantly it was just a drill. The great American shakeout drill where agencies from all over California and the the US. I happen to have been a part of my local VA hospital's drill. The point of the drill at least for the hospital was to simulate what would happen operational wise if there was a large earthquake. They had a triage area set up infront of the emergency room entrance. They also had various other departments within the hospital itself involved. All of which was being coordinated and communicated through the local VA HAM radio club. The drill lasted two hours and appeard to go off without a hitch. Are you prepared? Everyone sould have a plan in the event of an emergency/disaster. More on disaster preparedness in another post.
