Driving me nuts

Now that I got your attenttion, so will a speeding cop. One thing I notice about police officers, no matter what department they belong to, is the lack of following traffic laws. Even when not rolling on a hot call, I see cops doing things like speeding without lights or siren. Today I even noticed a cop parked on the oposit side of the street with his car facing oncomeing traffic. Now you can't tell me that he couldn't park on the correct side of the street and walked across, or flip a U Turn and park right on the side in witch the call was on. I have been on ridealongs where cops fly down a street doing 40 miles an hour over the speed limit without lights or siren's. Also, It's not just on duty they drive this way. It's off duty as well. Makes you wonder what they are thinking. I know they are far better trained behind the wheel then the average citizen, BUT, people see them do things like mentioned above and it doesn't look good on their department. Not to mention puts lives in danger. Lives in witch they are swarn to protect and serve.

Zimmerman AQUITED

As most of you know, George Zimmerman the guy accused of shooting Travon Martin was aquited. Zimmerman was a block captain for the Sanford Florida nieghborhood where Travon Martin lived. It too over four years for charges to be filed. As most of you know George Zimmerman is white and Travon Martin was black. The race card is how this whole thing got into the national news to begin with. Now the national media perticurly the talking heads are continuing to make this about race. thats all they seem to be talking about. There are protests and also threats to Zimmerman's life. When I saw he was aquited I thaught for sure there would be a big backlash from the black community. But, one thing I have not heard through out the trial and even watching coverage today is Zimmerman was carrying a gun. No one has mentioned if he was carrying openly or concealed. Nor have they mentioned what the gun laws in the state of Florida are in regards to the issue. It amazes me the tunnel vission of the media. That will be another days topic. For now, I would love to hear about the gun issue.Was he legal to carry a gun? He certainly wasn't charged with any gun violation.

Life as a pedestrian

Not sure if anyone knows this or not, but I walk everywhere. I don't drive, although I used to drive. Not driving can save alot of money not to mention it's great excersise as well as good for your heart. I walk because I don't have wheels. Sense starting to walk everywhere, I have gained a whole new perspective on what its like to be a pedestrian. I have found that alot of drivers are not very educated when it comes to the rules of the rode pertaining to pedestrians. Not to mention etiquite One of the first rules your taught in drivers ed is PEDESTRIANS HAVE THE RIGHT AWAY! Now that doesn't mean that we can do whatever we want. Just means within common sense. There are several bad habit's I see drivers do when it comes to pedestrian's. One of the habit's I see drivers do alot is at a stoplight with a crosswalk, they sit in the middle of the crosswalk blocking it while waiting for the light. That CAN AND WILL GET YOU A TICKET IF CAUGHT! Second thing I see is people parking blocking the sidewalk. That makes it more dangerous where pedestrians have to walk in the street to get around the parked car. That is also a TICKETABLE OFFENSE! Finnaly, I see people trying to get in a hurry when they are makeing a turn and I have the light. If you look as if your in a hurry to me, I will slow down. So DON'T get in a hurry when makeing a turn. Just because someone is walking doesn't make them any less of a person so PLEASE show some courtisy to your fellow human.

Creativity is dead

Creativity is dead. Well maybe for the TV production industry. Today's new shows seem to lack imagination. For instance, you have a show where people buy from public storage auctions. Then there are the countless spin offs. Not to mention the one about some crazy cajun guy from Axmen. So I ask has TV show creaters totaly lost all good sense not to mention creativity. I say yes. As it is, we have way too many so called reality shows to keep adding more dumb reality shows. Every other channel in every other time slot has a reality show about something. Hmmm wonder if I can get a reality show.
